PRE-EVENT ARTICLE WSZA LOCAL HEATS COMPETITIONS!

Sedibeng TVET College is buzzing with anticipation as preparations intensify for the upcoming WorldSkills South Africa (WSZA) Local Skills Competitions, scheduled to run from 14 to 16 May 2025. The competitions will be held concurrently at the Vereeniging and Sebokeng campuses, providing students with a platform to showcase their technical abilities and innovation across multiple skills areas.
Under the coordination of Ms. Ledimo BL, who serves as the College Competitions Manager, the college has mobilised its experts and facilities to ensure students are well-prepared and supported. Dedicated lecturers have been assigned to guide the competitors, ensuring they receive technical mentorship and motivation as they aim to advance to national level.
The following lecturers will be mentoring the learners during the local heats:
- - Bricklaying: Mr. Manzini NM – Sebokeng Campus
- - Mechatronics: Ms. Lephuthing MM – Vereeniging Campus
- - IT Network System Administration: Mr. Lotz R – Vereeniging Campus
- - Electrical Installations: Mr. Lehata TA – Vereeniging Campus
- - Mobile Robotics: Mr. Matsime DT – Vereeniging Campus
- - Hairdressing: Ms. Radebe S – Vereeniging Campus
- - IT Software Solutions for Business: Mr. Makoe KK – Vereeniging Campus
